N. Korean Army Unit Holds Live-fire Exercise - March 9, 2012

Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- A unit of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, belonging to Kim Chol, holds a live-fire exercise targeting the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors, who insulted the dignity of the supreme leadership of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Immediately after an initiate order, soldiers began firing shoulder-fired anti-tank weapons and machine guns, reducing a simulated enemy's position to pieces.

They are shouting:

"Let us reduce Kae (dog) Myung Bak to ashes."

"Let us destroy south Korean military warmongers."

A general officer, Kim Kuk Ryong, told KCNA:

"Our anger at the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors is running high.

The group dared defame the dignity of the DPRK supreme leadership. The hideous provocation reminds us of a puppy knowing no fear of a tiger.

We can never tolerate it. We, men and officers of the KPISF, will surely take revenge upon Lee."

A general officer, Kim Jong Ho, said:

"Once an order is given by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, we will make a clean sweep of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors, who committed an indelible high treason. The world will witness how they will meet a miserable end."

An officer, Ko Yong Ho, said:

"Disgusting faces of Lee Myung Bak, Kim Kwan Jin and Jong Sung Jo, headquartered in Seoul, are now looming before my eyes. On every account, I will take vengeance upon them."

A sergeant, Paek Kum Sam, said:

This is the ninth session of Asia Pacific Week 2011, recorded on Thursday 14 July 2011 - The Australian National University. The session, Antagonism despite Alignment? Simulating crisis over Takeshima/Dokdo features Dr Brendan Taylor, Admiral Chris Barrie AC, Professor William Tow & participants of APW2011.

This session introduces Asia Pacific Week participants to a war-game simulation exercise. War gaming is a methodology that has been employed for several decades at the highest levels of government and in the corporate world. The Strategic and Defence Studies Centre periodically runs wargame exercises as a teaching tool in the classroom.

In this wargame, Asia Pacific Week participants were invited to play the role of senior policymakers as they respond to a major strategic crisis between Japan and South Korea over the disputed Dokdo/Takeshima islands. Such a crisis could have significant ramifications for Asia's security order. Japan and South Korea are both American allies. Who would Washington choose? China is the leading trading partner of Japan and South Korea, but its relations with both countries have historically been troubled also. Would Beijing get involved? Could it afford not to? And would other players in the region such as North Korea and Taiwan try to take advantage of the crisis to advance their own precarious positions? Last but not least, what, if anything, would such a crisis mean for Australia?

Pyongyang insists it is launching a satellite for scientific purposes. But the US suspects the real aim is to test a long-range nuclear missile.

THEL Directed Energy Laser Weapon

The Tactical High-Energy Laser, or THEL, is a laser developed for military use, also known as the Nautilus laser system. The mobile version is the Mobile Tactical High-Energy Laser, or MTHEL.

The cooperative Tactical High Energy Laser (THEL) Demonstrator ACTD was designed and built by the Israeli government on July 18, 1996.The project was later funded by the United States. The THEL is a high-energy laser weapon system that uses proven laser beam generation technologies, proven beam-pointing technologies, and existing sensors and communication networks to provide a new active defense capability in counter air missions. The goal of THEL is to provide a different solution than other systems or technologies for the acquisition and close-in engagement problems associated with short- to medium-range threats, thereby significantly enhancing coverage of combat forces and theater-level assets. The THEL low cost-per-kill (about $3,000 per kill) could also provide a cost-effective defense against low-cost air threats. It features up to 60 shots without reloading and if it meets design goals, a probability of kill of nearly 100% at a range of 5 km.

An Israeli designed, U.S funded program has been initiated to develop a THEL demonstrator using deuterium fluoride laser (chemical laser) technologies. Israeli THEL team members have completed a Concept Design Review in Israel for the demonstrator. Approximately 21 months will be required to design and build the system, followed by 12 to 18 months of field testing at the High Energy Laser Systems Test Facility in Israel. This program will deliver a THEL Demonstrator by March 1998 with a limited operational capability to defend against short-range rockets. The THEL weapon system concept definition studies using advanced technologies were awarded to four contractors on September 30, 1996. The prime contractor for THEL is Northrop Grumman (formerly TRW.)

THEL conducted test firing in FY1998, and Initial Operational Capability (IOC) was planned in FY1999. However this has been significantly delayed due to reorienting the project as a mobile, not fixed design, called Mobile Tactical High Energy Laser (MTHEL). The original fixed location design eliminates most weight, size and power restrictions, but is not compatible with the fluid, mobile nature of modern combat. The initial MTHEL goal was a mobile version the size of three large semi trailers. Ideally it would be further downsized to a single semi trailer size. However doing this while maintaining the original performance characteristics is difficult. Furthermore the Israeli government which had been providing significant funding decreased their financial support in 2004, stretching out the IOC date to at least 2010.

In 2000 and 2001 THEL shot down 28 Katyusha artillery rockets and 5 artillery shells. On November 4, 2002, THEL shot down an incoming artillery shell. A mobile version has completed successful testing. During a test conducted on Aug. 24, 2004 the system successfully shot down multiple mortar rounds. The test represented actual mortar threat scenarios. Targets were intercepted by the THEL testbed and destroyed; both single mortar rounds and salvo were tested.

Even though military experts such as the former head of the Administration for the Development of Weapons and the Technological Industry, Aluf Yitzhak Ben Yisrael, were calling for the implementation of the THEL, the project was discontinued. During the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict, Ben Yisrael, currently the chairman of the Israeli Space Agency, renewed his calls to implement the THEL against high-trajectory fire.

In theory certain countermeasures could reduce the effectiveness of THEL. These could include heat hardening and reflective coating of the projectiles, which would increase the necessary laser exposure time. However THEL has primarily been developed to intercept relatively primitive threats such as homemade Qassam rockets and World War II-era Katyusha rockets, which thus far have not incorporated sophisticated countermeasures.

The challenge will be to split the THEL system into transportable pieces, each capable of inflicting only a part of the needed heat. While netted with the base center, several (small) units could respond to the same threat; this may be a way to overcome 1) the danger of system destruction, 2) the need for chemical lasers and associated transportation problems, and 3) y a part of the needed heat. Alaska 261 departed from Puerto Vallarta at 1:37 p.m. PST, and climbed to its intended cruising altitude of flight level 310 (31,000 ft). Approximately 2 hours into the flight, the flight crew, consisting of captain Ted Thompson and first officer William "Bill" Tansky, first contacted the airline's dispatch and maintenance control facilities in SeaTac, Washington, and on a shared company radio with operations and maintenance facilities at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) discussed a jammed horizontal stabilizer and a possible diversion to LAX. The jammed stabilizer prevented operation of the trim system, which normally would make slight adjustments to the flight control surfaces to keep the plane stable in flight. At their cruising altitude and speed the position of the jammed stabilizer required the pilots to pull on their controls with approximately 10 pounds (44N) of force to keep level. Neither the flight crew, nor company maintenance, were able to determine the cause of the jam. Repeated attempts to overcome the jam with the primary and alternate trim systems were unsuccessful.

During this time the flight crew had several discussions with the company dispatcher about whether to divert to Los Angeles, or continue on as planned to San Francisco. Ultimately the pilots chose to divert. Later the NTSB found that while "the flight crew's decision to divert the flight to Los Angeles...was prudent and appropriate", nonetheless "Alaska Airlines dispatch personnel appear to have attempted to influence the flight crew to continue to San Francisco...instead of diverting to Los Angeles." Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) transcripts indicate that the dispatcher was concerned about the effect on the schedule ("flow") should the flight divert.

At 4:09 p.m., the flight crew was able to unjam the horizontal stabilizer with the primary trim system, however, upon being freed, it quickly moved to an extreme "nose-down" position, forcing the aircraft into a dive. Alaska 261 went from about 31,500 feet to between 23,000 and 24,000 feet in around 80 seconds. Both pilots struggled together to regain control of the aircraft, and only by exerting a pulling force of 130 to 140 pounds (59.1 to 63.6 kg) on the controls were the flight crew able to arrest the 6,000 foot-per minute descent of the aircraft and stabilize themselves at approximately 24,400 feet.

Alaska 261 informed Air Traffic Control (ATC) of their control problems. After the flight crew stated their intention to land at LAX, ATC inquired if they wanted to proceed to a lower altitude in preparation for approach. The captain replied: "I need to get down to about ten, change my configuration, make sure I can control the jet and I'd like to do that out here over the bay if I may." Later, during the public hearings into the accident, the request by the pilot not to overfly populated areas was specifically commended by NTSB board members. During this time the flight crew considered, and rejected, any further attempts to correct the runaway trim. They proceeded to descend to a lower altitude and start to configure the aircraft for landing at LAX.

Beginning at 4:19 p.m., the CVR recorded the sounds of at least four distinct "thumps", followed 17 seconds later by an "extremely loud noise". The aircraft rapidly pitched over into a dive. Several aircraft in the vicinity had been alerted by ATC to maintain visual contact with the stricken jet and they immediately contacted the controller. One pilot radioed "that plane has just started to do a big huge plunge,"; another reported, "Yes sir, ah, I concur he is, uh, definitely in a nose down, uh, position descending quite rapidly." ATC then tried to contact Alaska 261. The crew of a Skywest airliner reported "He's, uh, definitely out of control" Although the CVR captured the co-pilot saying "Mayday", no radio communications were received from the flight crew during the final event.

The CVR transcript shows the pilots' continuous attempts for the duration of the dive to regain control of the aircraft. At one point, unable to raise the nose, they attempted to fly the aircraft "upside-down".However the aircraft was beyond recovery; it descended inverted and nose-down about 18,000 feet for 81 seconds, a descent rate exceeding 13,300 feet per minute before hitting the ocean at high speed. At this time, pilots from aircraft flying in the same area reported in, with one SkyWest Airlines pilot saying, "and he's just hit the water," meaning the plane had plunged into the ocean. Another reported, "Yeah sir, he, uh, he, uh, hit the water, he's, uh, down." Everyone on board died when the plane struck the water, and the aircraft was destroyed upon impact.

JetBlue pilot from Richmond Hill prompts emergency landing in Texas

The flight captain raced up the aisle screaming, pounded on the cockpit door and shouted, "First Iraq, then Afghanistan, now this," passengers said Tuesday.

More than a half-dozen passengers, many on their way from New York to Las Vegas for a security convention, surged forward and subdued the captain, he said. Airport officials identified the pilot as Clayton Frederick Osbon, of Richmond Hill.

"We all knew in the front rows if he got back in the cockpit, we were going down," said Gabriel Schonzeit, who witnessed the drama from a third-row seat aboard JetBlue Flight 191, which made an emergency landing at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport at 10:11 a.m.

When the plane touched down, Amarillo police scrambled aboard, apprehended Osbon and transported him to Northwest Texas Hospital, officials said. JetBlue Airways officials said in a statement that the flight captain suffered a medical condition and another pilot who was onboard but not on the crew stepped in to help fly the plane. Airline officials would not elaborate. The FBI is investigating.

Several hours into the flight, passengers said, Osbon emerged from the cockpit, walked into the bathroom at the back of the plane, then sprinted up the aisle, screaming "Iraq," "al-Qaida" and "terrorism." He tried to re-enter the cockpit, but his security code appeared to have been changed, Schonzeit said.

"It seemed like he went crazy," Schonzeit said.

US flight diverted after pilot is restrained

The captain went to a toilet just outside the cockpit, and when he emerged began shouting "Iraq, al-Qaeda, terrorism, we're all going down!" according to the Amarillo Globe-News newspaper.

"It was a little scary. He was pretty freaked out," passenger Heidi Karg told a US network.

"When they were trying to calm him down... they had to restrain him and a bunch of male passengers ran to the front of the plane to subdue him."

The FBI is investigating the incident on Flight 191 from New York, which had 135 passengers on board, when the pilot-in-command decided to redirect the plane to Amarillo, Texas.

JetBlue said in a statement the flight was diverted due to a "medical situation" involving the captain, but made no mention of any commotion on board.

ANCSA at 40: Where Are We And Where Are We Going?

The passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971 was a dramatic event in Alaska Native history. By the mid-20th century, Alaska had been under American rule for about 100 years and various colonial interest groups were carving up the territory. Land was being used and claimed by a variety of interests, including gold miners, homesteaders, the timber industry, commercial hunting and fishing companies, conservationists, federal agencies including the U.S. Military, the state government and, of course, the industry that propelled the issue to resolution -- big oil. In the midst of this churning sea of activity, Alaska Natives were thrust into a fight for our lands with few professionals in the ranks and almost no money. It is a remarkable story that Alaska Natives were able to deal with this freight train of interests.

Under ANCSA, Native peoples were promised title over 40 million acres of our former lands and $962.5 million to establish Native regional and village corporations charged with promoting the social and economic well-being of Alaska Natives. ANCSA is criticized both in terms of product and process, i.e., it yielded too little and the process did not meet a reasonable bar for inclusion. Most condemning for some is that as Native corporations, created in the image of a Western corporate model, have prospered, many Alaska Natives see ANCSA as a vehicle for assimilation. In this view the quest for profits has trumped the quest for culture. For others the criticism is that we now have a new class of Native corporates who share a common culture of the pursuit of wealth.

On the other hand, ANCSA is also celebrated as a David and Goliath story that ended with a victory that far exceeded what anyone could have, would have or should have predicted. Imagine if the Alaska Native leadership of that generation had decided to forego the intense political and social costs of fighting for our lands and instead ceded the fight to the good graces of the oil industry and the federal government. Imagine if that cadre of Alaska Natives, outgunned in all regards, had walked away. How much land would have been dedicated to Alaska Natives? How much money would have been granted for setting up organizations structured to promote the social and economic health of Native societies? Is there really any question that Alaska Natives would have been stripped of land and that other interests would have overridden matters of justice or fairness? Once ANCSA had been legislated into existence, the terms were exceedingly complex, and corporations were formed in an era of high inflation by Native peoples who had little professional training and virtually no talent pool. While there have been painful failures, there have been outstanding fiscal successes.

ANCSA at 40 was billed as a “gala celebration,” and it is easy to fall into a celebratory mindset as the story is filled with heart-warming and hard-fought elements of triumph. Yet ANCSA clearly remains controversial, and how we view ANCSA today influences how the story is told to our young people and how it is viewed by generations to come. I suggest that rather than an unbridled celebration, we use the occasion to reflect on an essential question: “Is ANCSA a tool that continues to allow us to be peoples who transform our opportunities and make our lives better -- in what ways yes and in what ways no?”

While evaluating present circumstances is always difficult, one way to start is to consider our place in the timeline of Alaska Native history. When traveling in the country, for example, especially an area unknown to you, one way to find your place is to look back and find two landmarks behind you -- one closer and one more distant. As you travel, you turn back periodically to view the landmarks so that your present and future travels are safeguarded by your past.

Our place today is ANCSA at 40. It is the near marker in our past. For Alaska Natives, the distant marker is the traditional use of lands and waters unfettered by colonization. This distant marker holds the memories and legacies of cultures that were uniquely shaped and identified by the lands and waters of each region that generated and sustained our peoples for thousands of years. These are our essential homelands and inescapably valuable to each of our peoples, past, present and future. Our rich cultural heritages are anchored in the lands and waters that sustained us economically, socially and spiritually.

With ANCSA the long period of uncertainty regarding the status of Native land claims of Alaska Native peoples under colonization entered a new chapter. As well, ANCSA promised to address the social and economic well-being of Alaska Native peoples. The cultural erosion that resulted from the forces of assimilation and the weakening of traditional social, religious, economic and political structures caused by the imposition of Western culture was severe and abrupt. Alaska Natives, struggling to find their footing during much of this time, were excluded from land ownership, citizenship, and besieged by policies related to the civilization of Native peoples. The legislative intent of Congress through ANCSA is stated in the first section as one of promoting the social and economic well-being of Alaska Natives. To that end, although most of our traditional lands legally became the property of others, ANCSA did turn about forty million acres of homelands to the stewardship of the regional and village corporations. Despite what some view as insufficient terms, ANCSA should be recognized as an event that delivered Alaska Native societies both challenges and opportunities for success. One question at this forty year mark is, “How should we measure our success and understand our challenges?”

There were common themes that emerged from among the many presentations that were given at the ANCSA gala. These addressed the positive economic, social, educational and political changes that have occurred. There are clearly many reasons to applaud the opportunities that have been seized via ANCSA but, surprisingly, there were few speakers at the celebration who commented on the shortcomings of our journey or who posed challenges for the future.

Alaska Native corporations were established in the image of Western corporate structures. Inherent in these structures are the pursuit of profit and the enrichment of shareholders. There is often, in American companies, a friction between the long-term health of the company and the desire of current shareholders to maximize their profits. Many Alaska Native Regional and Village Corporations are experiencing this same tension.

It is deeply troublesome, for example, that despite the hard-fought battle for land ownership of some of our lands, over 700,000 acres of original ANCSA land have been sold by Native corporations. A decision to sell cultural lands by the present generation of shareholders deprives all future generations of this sacred legacy. Have decisions to sell land been made strategically with the well-being of future generations in mind, or have these decisions been made to enrich the current generation of shareholders? Have the long-term social and cultural costs of land sales been considered as equally or more important than the economic benefits?

The issue of land ownership may be compounded in the future if corporate shares become public. If that happens, what portion of our original ANCSA lands will become non-Native property? Will today’s shareholders sell for immediate economic benefit? Will our corporations rededicate themselves to the social and economic benefits of future generations and prevent the sale of shares to non-Natives? The positive news is that ANCSA legislation has evolved, and the 1991 amendments, for example, rescinded the provision that required corporate shares to become public after twenty years. Corporations are now empowered to determine their own timelines for public trading. This is a critical responsibility and must be debated, not with the present in mind, but rather with an eye to future generations and the continuation of our cultures and their connections to our lands.

While many corporations have been amazingly successful, it is important not to forget that many have experienced bankruptcy, and many village corporations are seemingly dead with no Boards of Directors, no annual reports and no plan for revival. Are we seriously cutting loose these village corporations? How many are there and what are the repercussions? Better tracking, better data and some dialogue are needed.

While the Alaska Native middle class has expanded in some areas, the economic health of Alaska Natives, in general, still lags behind that of other Alaskans. Likewise Alaska Natives continue to experience many serious social problems and other symptoms of cultural dysfunction across regions. It would seem that ANCSA at 40 is better perceived not as a gala but rather as a time to note leaders who fought for a better future while trying to better understand and tackle our many remaining challenges.

As we view both the present and the future, the most glaring departure from the far marker of traditional societies is the dispossession of our young people. There are two groups of Alaska Natives: those who are shareholders and full members of Alaska Native Corporations and those who are not. The celebration of ANCSA at 40 is viewed by many of those who are 39 years old and younger with alienation since they lacked full membership at ANCSA's passage and, in most cases, still do. Can any culture that bans its young adults and youth from full membership in the group have a right to a future? What futures do our young people imagine for themselves as Alaska Natives when they remain outside one of the most critical structures of modern Native Alaska?

Again, however, the 1991 amendments allow us to imagine and build a different future. These amendments support, but do not require, the opportunity for corporations to bring in new Natives as shareholders. Some corporations have seized this opportunity and begun to admit new members, but most have not. Is the dilution of the value of shares preventing more corporations from acting? If not, what value can possibly be gained by the present situation where about half of our population has no direct legal or political connection to Alaska Native lands or to the Native corporations that touch the lives of all Alaska Natives?

Where are we at 40? Are we turning the bend so that more Alaska Natives have a clear connection to our lands and waters in addition to the economic engines of the corporations? How many more of our lands will be sold for corporate profit or transferred into non-Native ownership? Will modern Alaska Native cultures retain links to their histories? Through what prisms are Alaska Natives viewing this 40-year marker? It takes sustained effort and thought to see beyond the quarterly profits and annual dividends to the health of the culture. I hope that we are as observant as our ancestors were so well noted for being.

Japan Wants Missile Shield Against N.Korean Rockets

North Korea has announced it will launch a rocket next month, which will put a satellite into orbit. But the U.S. and its allies see the plans as counter to international diplomatic efforts to deal with the reclusive state's nuclear programme - and are worried the technology could be used to develop long range missiles in the future. It could also potentially violate UN Security Council resolutions, and threatens last month's deal between North Korea and the Washington. Japan's has responded by deploying its own missile defense system to shoot down any rocket threatening its territory. Solar Storm Dumps Gigawatts of FREE ENERGY into Earth's Upper Atmosphere - March 2012

***(Nikola Tesla could harness this... What's wrong with NASA?)*** March 22, 2012: A recent flurry of eruptions on the sun did more than spark pretty auroras around the poles. NASA-funded researchers say the solar storms of March 8th through 10th dumped enough energy in Earth's upper atmosphere to power every residence in New York City for two years.

"This was the biggest dose of heat we've received from a solar storm since 2005," says Martin Mlynczak of NASA Langley Research Center. "It was a big event, and shows how solar activity can directly affect our planet."

Mlynczak is the associate principal investigator for the SABER instrument onboard NASA's TIMED satellite. SABER monitors infrared emissions from Earth's upper atmosphere, in particular from carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitric oxide (NO), two substances that play a key role in the energy balance of air hundreds of km above our planet's surface.

"Carbon dioxide and nitric oxide are natural thermostats," explains James Russell of Hampton University, SABER's principal investigator. "When the upper atmosphere (or 'thermosphere') heats up, these molecules try as hard as they can to shed that heat back into space."

That's what happened on March 8th when a coronal mass ejection (CME) propelled in our direction by an X5-class solar flare hit Earth's magnetic field. (On the "Richter Scale of Solar Flares," X-class flares are the most powerful kind.) Energetic particles rained down on the upper atmosphere, depositing their energy where they hit. The action produced spectacular auroras around the poles and significant1 upper atmospheric heating all around the globe.

"The thermosphere lit up like a Christmas tree," says Russell. "It began to glow intensely at infrared wavelengths as the thermostat effect kicked in."

For the three day period, March 8th through 10th, the thermosphere absorbed 26 billion kWh of energy. Infrared radiation from CO2 and NO, the two most efficient coolants in the thermosphere, re-radiated 95% of that total back into space.

In human terms, this is a lot of energy. According to the New York City mayor's office, an average NY household consumes just under 4700 kWh annually. This means the geomagnetic storm dumped enough energy into the atmosphere to power every home in the Big Apple for two years.

"Unfortunately, there's no practical way to harness this kind of energy," says Mlynczak. "It's so diffuse and out of reach high above Earth's surface. Plus, the majority of it has been sent back into space by the action of CO2 and NO."

During the heating impulse, the thermosphere puffed up like a marshmallow held over a campfire, temporarily increasing the drag on low-orbiting satellites. This is both good and bad. On the one hand, extra drag helps clear space junk out of Earth orbit. On the other hand, it decreases the lifetime of useful satellites by bringing them closer to the day of re-entry.

The storm is over now, but Russell and Mlynczak expect more to come.

"We're just emerging from a deep solar minimum," says Russell. "The solar cycle is gaining strength with a maximum expected in 2013."

More sunspots flinging more CMEs toward Earth adds up to more opportunities for SABER to study the heating effect of solar storms.

"This is a new frontier in the sun-Earth connection," says Mlynczak, and the data we're collecting are unprecedented."

Mysterious Gamma-Rays at Galactic Center Baffle Astronomers

Fermi Eyes 'Crazy-energetic Photons' - The human eye is crucial to astronomy. Without the ability to see, the luminous universe of stars, planets and galaxies would be closed to us, unknown forever. Nevertheless, astronomers cannot shake their fascination with the invisible.

Outside the realm of human vision is an entire electromagnetic spectrum of wonders. Each type of light--­from radio waves to gamma-rays--reveals something unique about the universe. Some wavelengths are best for studying black holes; others reveal newborn stars and planets; while others illuminate the earliest years of cosmic history.

NASA has many telescopes "working the wavelengths" up and down the electromagnetic spectrum. One of them, the Fermi Gamma-Ray Telescope orbiting Earth, has just crossed a new electromagnetic frontier.

"Fermi is picking up crazy-energetic photons," says Dave Thompson, an astrophysicist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. "And it's detecting so many of them we've been able to produce the first all-sky map of the very high energy universe."

"This is what the sky looks like near the very edge of the electromagnetic spectrum, between 10 billion and 100 billion electron volts."

The light we see with human eyes consists of photons with energies in the range 2 to 3 electron volts. The gamma-rays Fermi detects are billions of times more energetic, from 20 million to more than 300 billion electron volts. These gamma-ray photons are so energetic, they cannot be guided by the mirrors and lenses found in ordinary telescopes. Instead Fermi uses a sensor that is more like a Geiger counter than a telescope. If we could wear Fermi's gamma ray "glasses," we'd witness powerful bullets of energy -- individual gamma rays -- from cosmic phenomena such as supermassive black holes and hypernova explosions. The sky would be a frenzy of activity.

Before Fermi was launched in June 2008, there were only four known celestial sources of photons in this energy range. "In 3 years Fermi has found almost 500 more," says Thompson.

What lies within this new realm?

"Mystery, for one thing," says Thompson. "About a third of the new sources can't be clearly linked to any of the known types of objects that produce gamma rays. We have no idea what they are."

The rest have one thing in common: prodigious energy.

"Among them are super massive black holes called blazars; the seething remnants of supernova explosions; and rapidly rotating neutron stars called pulsars."

And some of the gamma rays seem to come from the 'Fermi bubbles' -- giant structures emanating from the Milky Way's center and spanning some 20,000 light years above and below the galactic plane.

Exactly how these bubbles formed is another mystery.

Now that the first sky map is complete, Fermi is working on another, more sensitive and detailed survey.

"In the next few years, Fermi should reveal something new about all of these phenomena, what makes them tick, and why they generate such 'unearthly' levels of energy," says David Paneque, a leader in this work from the Max Planck Institute in Germany.

For now, though, there are more unknowns than knowns about "Fermi's world."

Says Thompson: "It's pretty exciting!"

GOVERNMENT WEATHER & ENVIRONMENTAL MODIFICATION

You are about to read about the fascinating subject of weather control - or modification. I'll try to present this in as simple a layman's terms as possible, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I will try to present scientific evidence that scientists do control the weather using Tesla Technology, which he developed from 1886-1928 ["The Fantastic Inventions of Nikola Tesla", by Nikola Tesla and David H. Childress, 1993.] As you read about the capabilities to control the weather, remember that the brilliant mystic scientist, Nikola Tesla, made the key discoveries almost 100 years ago! We do not know how far advanced Tesla was with his work on controlling the weather and its storms, but it is a possibility that the terrible storms and drought in the late 1920's may have been brought on by a deliberate use of Tesla technology.

Tesla Technology that makes control of the weather possible, is a fact of history that rivals any other single fact; Tesla became a very wealthy man for the rest of his life once he signed over his work, his discoveries, and the capabilities of his system to an organization that many refer to as The Illuminati, The New World Order, or Big Brother. I'll just refer to them as those who pull strings behind the scenes, because this isn't about conspiracy theory, but conspiracy fact. As usual, I'll let you take in the information and come to your own conclusions.

Anyhow, since his work was signed over, Tesla virtually disappeared from the textbooks of American education, keeping us from becoming acquainted with the man who had discovered how to deliver free electricity to every home in America, among many other things. But, those who pull strings behind the scene were motivated by their kookie occult beliefs and master plan; and like many super high-tech discoveries in our history, they suppressed it for their own purposes.

WHAT ABOUT A UNITED NATIONS TREATY PROHIBITING NATIONS USING WEATHER WARFARE?

The existence of laws concerning cars, houses, and guns prove that cars, houses, and guns exist, and exist in the quantity needed to produce the type of laws we see on our books. If an alien from outer space were to visit this Earth many eons from now, and wanted to find out how we humans moved about our cities, for example, he would have to look no further than the laws in our records to know that we operated a machine we called a car. He would further be able to ascertain much technical data about the car from the laws in our records just by studying the regulations governing their use.

To put this principle in another way, the very existence of laws about cars proves that cars exist, and exist in enough quantity to prove to be a huge problem without the laws that regulate them.

The existence of the recorded law regulating automobiles proves the existence of the automobile to anyone who has never seen one in his life!

Of course, the same could be said for anything in our society, both technical and non-technical.

If we know this to be true, then it would be a surprise to discover that a United Nations Treaty exists which pledges all member states to refrain from using Weather Control as a lethal weapon upon other states!

One might question the existence of this recorded law -- this U.N. Treaty -- and wonder of it's existence if there was no need for protection against being able to control the weather at all - and use it in a hostile way!

We've all heard those kookie rumors about weather control devices like HAARP, Chemtrails, and the GWEN towers, but chalked it up as more wackiness from the conspiracy theorists. If you're like me, I'm done the minute they mention Alien Motherships, Reptiles with the ability to shapeshift, or that I'm going to hell if I don't believe them.

So, how am I going to try to educate you on something as weird as American and Russian scientists having the ability to control our weather? Well, I guess I'm just going to give it a shot. I'm sure, judging by much of the content that I present to you, that my sanity may be in question, and that's cool with me. I like being different! ;-P

So, to begin with, how many times have you heard your Friendly Neighborhood weather person say:

"It's the worst storm in history!"
"The worst flood in past 100 years!"
"Unprecedented!"
"It's the 500-year Flood!"

Although it all boils down to television dramatics, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize there is something up with our weather. And, don't you just love it when all the weather anomolies in the world are blamed on Global Warming. While, I'm sure our use of fossil fuels do have an impact on our global environment, I believe there's a whole lot more to it. Especially those "freak" storms that baffle both educated meteorologists as well as us regular folk! I'm sure we all can think of at least one example.

Okay - so, let's go back to that strange United Nations' Treaty. Let's take a look at the details of this treaty that prohibits member states from using Weather Weapons on each other. After all, those dudes are WAY too anal retentive to be playing practical jokes when it comes to important stuff like treaties, right?


Let's start with the date of the cover letter - 27 October 1978. And, the name of the treaty is "CONVENTION ON THE PROHIBITION OF MILITARY OR ANY OTHER HOSTILE USE OF ENVIRONMENTAL MODIFICATION TECHNIQUES APPROVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE UNITED NATIONS ON 10 DECEMBER 1976".

The title alone tells us that scientists of at least one nation must - AT THE VERY LEAST - possess scientific knowledge that can control damaging weather to the point of being able to use such weather as hostile, destructive weapons. Which country - or countries - possess this God-like technology is not clear; however, we can surmise that, from the date of the treaty, when Western Capitalism had been duking it out with Eastern Russian Communism, that either the United States or Russia or both, are our prime suspects.

So, let's take a look at exactly what kinds of "weather" could even be useful as tools of warfare.

1. Earthquakes -- after all, nothing says "Cool your jets!" like breaking all your enemies stuff!

2. Hurricanes and/or Typhoons -- kinda hard to fight in 200-plus mile winds!

3. Flooding -- We've all seen footage of New Orleans right after Katrina, and there wasn't much cool about that!

4. Drought -- If you've ever been really hot and wanted a drink of water and couldn't get any - you know how much that sucks.

5. Tsunamis -- While cool for surfers - NOT COOL for 99.9% of us that don't surf!

6. Volcanoes -- God's own nukes!

I do not mean to make light of stuff that has caused such tragic loss to much of the world, but war is in itself childish and I'm speaking in terms of schoolyard army games.

So, let's go back to that United Nations' treaty prohibiting the hostile, or military, use of Weather Modification capabilities again.

The first page of this report simply sets forth the framework into which the treaty fits, and is generally not exciting. However, a couple of points jump out at you when you read it carefully.

A. Paragraph 1, beginning with the word "Guided" -- "Guided by the interest of consolidating peace, and wishing to contribute to the cause of halting the arms race, and of bringing about general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control ..."

Remember, that at the time of this treaty, the world was just beginning to bring down the iron curtain, the Berlin Wall, and don't forget nuclear disarmament! The big deal was aiming those pesky Intercontinental Ballistic Nuclear Missiles away from our front yards, and aiming them towards the sky or Antarctica or something. We were so happy to not face the daily threat of being nuked that we didn't notice that weird weather treaty.

B. "Recognizing that scientific and technical advances may open new possibilities with respect to modification of the environment."

Modification of the environment? Huh? And, yes - I know that it says that it "may open the possibilities", but there must have been - AT THE VERY LEAST - technology that was at least moving in that direction. After all, we hear about Death Stars and Death Rays but no one's presenting legislation against them.

C. "Recognizing, however, that military or any other hostile use of such [weather modification] techniques could have effects extremely harmful to human welfare".

I won't add to that statement!

D. "Desiring to prohibit effectively military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques in order to eliminate the dangers to mankind from such use, and affirming their willingness to work towards the achievement of this objective."

Again - pretty much says it all.

Have agreed as follows:

ARTICLE I

1. Each State Party to this Convention undertakes not to engage in military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects as the means of destruction, damage or injury to any other State Party.

2. Each State Party to this Convention undertakes not to assist, encourage or induce any State, group of States or international organization to engage in activities contrary to the provisions of paragraph 1 of this article.

ARTICLE II

As used in article 1, the term "environmental modification techniques" refers to any technique for changing - through the deliberate manipulation of natural processes--the dynamics, composition or structure of the Earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, or of outer space.

ARTICLE III

1. The provisions of this Convention shall not hinder the use of environmental modification techniques for peaceful purposes and shall be without prejudice to the generally recognized principles and applicable rules of international law concerning such use.

2. The States Parties to this Convention undertake to facilitate, and have the right to participate in, the fullest possible exchange of scientific and technological information on the use of environmental modification techniques for peaceful purposes. States Parties in a position to do so shall contribute, alone or together with other States or international organizations, to international economic and scientific co-operation in the preservation, improvement and peaceful utilization of the environment, with due consideration for the needs of the developing areas of the world.

ARTICLE IV

Each State Party to this Convention undertakes to take any measures it considers necessary in accordance with its constitutional processes to prohibit and prevent any activity in violation of the provisions of the Convention anywhere under its jurisdiction or control.

ARTICLE V

1. The States Parties to this Convention undertake to consult one another and to co-operate in solving any problems which may arise in relation to the objectives of, or in the application of the provisions of, the Convention. Consultation and co-operation pursuant to this article may also be undertaken through appropriate international procedures within the framework of the United Nations and in accordance with its Charter. These international procedures may include the services of appropriate international organizations, as well as of a Consultative Committee of Experts as provided for in paragraph 2 of this article.

2. For the purposes set forth in paragraph 1 of this article, the Depositary shall within one month of the receipt of a request from any State Party to this Convention, convene a Consultative Committee of Experts. Any State Party may appoint an expert to the Committee whose functions and rules of procedure are set out in the annex which constitutes an integral part of this Convention. The Committee shall transmit to the Depositary a summary of its findings of fact, incorporating all views and information presented to the Committee during its proceedings. The Depositary shall distribute the summary to all States Parties.

3. Any State Party to this Convention which has reason to believe that any other State Party is acting in breach of obligations deriving from the provisions of the Convention may lodge a complaint with the Security Council of the United Nations. Such a complaint should include all relevant information as well as all possible evidence supporting ItS validity.

4. Each State Party to this Convention undertakes to cooperate in carrying out any investigation which the Security Council may initiate, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, on the basis of the complaint received by the Council. The Security Council shall inform the States Parties of the results of the investigation.

5. Each State Party to this Convention undertakes to provide or support assistance, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations, to any State Party which so requests, if the Security Council decides that such Party has been harmed or is likely to be harmed as a result of violation of the Convention.

ARTICLE VI

1. Any State Party to this Convention may propose amendments to the Convention. The text of any proposed amendment shall be submitted to the Depositary, who shall promptly circulate it to all States Parties.

2. An amendment shall enter into force for all States Parties to this Convention which have accepted it, upon the deposit with the Depositary of instruments of acceptance by a majority of States Parties. Thereafter it shall enter into force for any remaining State Party on the date of deposit of its instrument of acceptance.

ARTICLE VII

This Convention shall be of unlimited duration.

ARTICLE VIII
1. Five years after the entry into force of this Convention, a conference of the States Parties to the Convention shall be convened by the Depositary at Geneva, Switzerland. The conference shall review the operation of the Convention with a view to ensuring that its purposes and provisions are being realized, and shall in particular examine the effectiveness of the provisions of paragraph 1 of article I in eliminating the dangers of military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques.

2. At intervals of not less than five years thereafter, a majority of the States Parties to this Convention may obtain, by submitting a proposal to this effect to the Depositary, the convening of a conference with the same objectives.

3. If no conference has been convened pursuant to paragraph 2 of this article within ten years following the conclusion of a previous conference, the Depositary shall solicit the views of all States Parties to this Convention concerning the convening of such a conference. If one third or ten of the States Parties, whichever number is less, respond affirmatively, the Depositary shall take immediate steps to convene the conference.

ARTICLE IX

1. This Convention shall be open to all States for signature. Any State which does not sign the Convention before its entry into force in accordance with paragraph 3 of this article may accede to it at any time.

2. This Convention shall be subject to ratification by signatory States. Instruments of ratification or accession shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

3. This Convention shall enter into force upon the deposit of instruments of ratification by twenty Governments in accordance with paragraph 2 of this article.

4. For those States whose instruments of ratification or accession are deposited after the entry into force of this Convention, it shall enter into force on the date of the deposit of their instruments of ratification or accession.

5. The Depositary shall promptly inform all signatory and acceding States of the date of each signature, the date of deposit of each instrument of ratification or accession and the date of the entry into force of this Convention and of any amendments thereto, as well as of the receipt of other notices.

6. This Convention shall be registered by the Depositary in accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations.

ARTICLE X

This Convention, of which the Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish texts are equally authentic, shall be deposited with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, who shall send duly certified copies thereof to the Governments of the signatory and acceding States.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto, have signed this Convention

Annex to the Convention

Consultative Committee of Experts

1. The Consultative Committee of Experts shall undertake to make appropriate findings of fact and provide expert views relevant to any problem raised pursuant to paragraph 1 of article V of this Convention by the State Party requesting the convening of the Committee.

2. The work of the Consultative Committee of Experts shall be organized in such a way as to permit it to perform the functions set forth in paragraph 1 of this annex. The Committee shall decide procedural questions relative to the organization of its work, where possible by consensus, but otherwise by a majority of those present and voting. There shall be no voting on matters of substance.

3. The Depositary or his representative shall serve as the Chairman of the Committee.

4. Each expert may be assisted at meetings by one or more advisers.

5. Each expert shall have the right, through the Chairman, to request from States, and from international organizations, such information and assistance as the expert considers desirable for the accomplishment of the Committee's work.

Boring - I know, but there you have it!
So, let's take a closer look at a few particulars.

1. "Each State Party to this Convention undertakes not to engage in military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects as the means of destruction, damage, or injury to any other State Party."

Notice this is directed at military and hostile use of this technology. It also only covers actions that cause long-term destructive damage to member parties. It leaves the door wide open for "peaceful" non-military use of the technology. In addition, it leaves the possibility for concentrated use of the technology that doesn't cause long-term damage. And, protection of non-member parties is not even covered.

2. Each State Party to this Convention undertakes not to assist, encourage, or induce any State, group of States, or international organization to engage in activities contrary to the provisions of paragraph 1 of this article."

I don't want to make this any more boring than it already is, but I want you to consider that there had to be a very good reason to adapt such legislation. Think about a technology capable of modifying the environment, and said technology being able to cause widespread long-term damage. I think you get my point. Let's move on.



NEWSPAPER ARTICLES PROVING WEATHER CONTROL


NEWS BRIEF: "United States and Other World Powers Should Outlaw Tampering With Weather for Use as War Weapon"
Editorial by Senator Claiborne Pell, D-Rhode Island
The Providence Journal Bulletin, 1975.

"The U.S. and other world powers should sign a treaty to outlaw the tampering with weather as an instrument of war. It may seem farfetched to think of using weather as a weapon -- but I'm convinced that the U.S. did, in fact, use rainmaking techniques as a weapon of war in Southeast Asia."

Let us stop right here and now and digest just what Senator Claiborne Pell has told us. He said that the United States used Weather as a Weapon during the Vietnam War. We fought the Vietnam War from 1965-74 in a large capacity. Using Weather Weapons in the early 1970's would fit the time frame with which we are familiar.

The U.N. treaty we discussed above was passed one year after this article appeared quoting Senator Pell. Now, let us hear some more from Senator Pell.

"We need a treaty now to prevent such actions -- before the military leaders of the world start directing storms, manipulating climates, and inducing earthquakes against their enemies. The basic idea of environmental warfare is simple -- if a nation can learn to trigger natural events it can inflict terrible damage on an enemy through rainfall, flooding, tidal waves, earthquakes, and even climate changes that could devastate an enemy nation's agriculture." [Ibid.]

In one single paragraph, Senator Pell has confirmed our contention, above, that weather control is a reality and that it can be used as a weapon against an enemy. At this point, we need to clarify a very necessary ingredient required for a capability to be transformed into an effective weapon -- the capability needs to be exactly controlled so it will strike the target precisely. Otherwise, the capability is worthless; therefore, weather weaponry must be able to be precisely controlled! Keep that point in mind for the time you read Part 3.

WALL STREET JOURNAL REPORTS -- 1997

NEWS BRIEF: "Malaysia to Battle Smog With Cyclones"

The Wall Street Journal, Thursday, November 13, 1997, page A19.

"KULA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's war on smog is about to get a new twist. The government wants to create man-made cyclones to scrub away the haze that has plagued Malaysia since July. 'We will use special technology to create an artificial cyclone to clean the air', said Datuk Law Hieng Ding, minister for science, technology and the environment. The plan calls for the use of new Russian technology to create cyclones -- the giant storms also known as typhoons and hurricanes -- to cause torrential rains, washing the smoke out of the air. The Malaysian cabinet and the finance minister have approved the plan, Datuk Law said. A Malaysian company, BioCure Sdn. Bhd., will sign a memorandum of understanding soon with a government-owned Russian party to produce the cyclone. "Datuk Law declined to disclose the size of the cyclone to be generated, or the mechanism. 'The details I don't have', he said. He did say, though, that the cyclone generated would be 'quite strong'. Datuk Law also declined to disclose the price of creating the cyclone."

This article is written by the prestigious Wall Street Journal, and it reports, very matter of factly, that Malaysia is ordering a cyclone just as someone might order some lawn furniture from a catalog! We also learned that the Russians have the capability of creating such a huge storm for a fee. Also unsaid, but inferred, is that this cyclone could be steered or controlled so that it would come close enough to Malaysia to clear away the haze that was bedeviling that nation, but not so close it would cause any damage. Further, the nations close to Malaysia are not quoted as being overly concerned that this most powerful of storms might accidentally hit their shores.

This news is quite stupendous, and it opens up all sorts of questions about our incredible and unprecedented hurricanes in the past 5 years. Were these hurricanes also caused by our scientists, or by the Russian scientists? If our scientists created them, then the Federal Government needs to be strung up and quartered for the pain, anguish, and death caused by these terrible storms. If the Russian scientists caused these storms, then they have just committed an act of war against the United States!

Then, the Wall Street Journal, on October 2, 1992, reported that a Russian company called "Elate Intelligent Technologies, Inc.," sells weather control equipment by using the advertising slogan, "Weather Made to Order". This motto is even on their business cards! The commercial Director of Elate, Igor Pirogoff, stated that "Elate is capable of fine-tuning the weather patterns over a 200 square mile area for as little as $200 U.S. per day". Is it just coincidence that this 200 square mile effective range is the same range as our new GWEN towers? We will be discussing what GWEN towers are and how they work. Suffice it to say that GWEN towers are apparently being used in conjunction with HAARP towers to shoot enormous bursts of energy into the atmosphere to control our weather.

This Wall Street Journal article also quoted Mr. Pirogoff as saying that Hurricane Andrew could have been decreased "into a wimpy little squall". This statement is so shocking as to border on being ridiculous! Hurricane Andrew was so powerful that it caused several billion dollars worth of damage, killed a number of people, and destroyed or altered the lives of tens of thousands. Now, we learn that American scientists could have turned Andrew into a little harmless squall. But, I suppose the real question is this: did our scientists create Andrew in the first place?

Only when you realize that these stupendous storms and other weather capabilities are being used to modify our country -- and the countries throughout the world -- into the kind of draconian vision as described in Part 3, do these facts make any sense whatsoever. But, once you accept weather control as reality, coupled with the reality of New World Order Plans that aim to drive men off certain blocs of land and controlling their every behavior, then the whole picture starts to come into focus.

At the very least, couldn't our scientists have "steered" Hurricane Andrew out to sea, away from our coastland? After all, the Russian scientists, according to this Wall Street Journal article, were able to "steer" the hurricanes they deliberately produced so that it would not damage any city of any country. Perhaps our scientists did not steer Hurricane Andrew away because our political leadership did not want them to steer Andrew away! Perhaps Hurricane Andrew was one step in a long campaign to convince Americans that we need to change our fundamental way of living.

NEWS BRIEF: "Basic Facts About the United Nations"
United Nations pamphlet, 1994.

On the inside of the front cover, this pamphlet enthusiastically recounts some of the agreements the United Nations has negotiated with the nations of the world that supposedly makes this world a better place in which to live. Incredibly, this U.N. Treaty is listed as the second noteworthy accomplishment, under the year, "1977".

"1977 -- The Convention on the Prohibition of Military or Any Other Hostile Use of Environmental Modification Techniques. ENMOD Convention prohibits the use of techniques that would have widespread, long-lasting or severe effects through deliberate manipulation of natural processes and cause such phenomena as earthquakes, tidal waves, and changes in climate and in weather patterns."

Just like that, this pamphlet states boldly that scientists do possess Weather Warfare capability, and then lists some of the various individual capabilities. Aren't we fortunate that the political leaders of the world have signed a piece of paper forbidding nations from using these weapons against each other? History is full of instances where pieces of paper called Treaties have been ignored almost from the moment they were signed.

However, this Treaty, or Convention, does not forbid political leaders from using these Weather Warfare weapons against their own people! This is what is occurring here, to convince Americans that our Industrial Civilization is so polluting the world that these storms are a natural result. Then, once they are so convinced, Americans will be amenable to changing our Industrial Civilization, and to moving into the U.N. Biodiversity Areas already mapped out. Of course, Americans are not at that point yet, but how many more "unprecedented" storms will it take, one after another, one on top of another, to convince them?

This U.N. pamphlet then lists the Billion Dollar Loss Storms in the decade from 1984-1994, with a footnote below the data that says: "Source: From Disaster Management to Sustainable Development: How the Public Sector, Private Sector, and Voluntary Organizations Can Work Together, WHO, 1994."

The use of the word, "sustainable" in the footnote, above, is damning evidence that all these natural disasters fit nicely into the New World Order Plan. One of the most used words in New Age literature is "sustainable". The demonic Guiding Spirits of the New Age leadership have repeatedly stated that the current Industrial Civilization is not "sustainable" and must be eliminated.


NEWS BRIEF: "Pentagon & Kremlin Are Playing With Our Weather And Giving Us Storms and Floods"

"Ponte claims the Soviets have made advances in bending the all-important jet stream that sweeps across Siberia to set global wind patterns. By using explosive devices in the jet stream, scientists are trying to make it dip and rise in a wave that could replace the frigid Siberian winters with milder air from the south."


NEWS BRIEF: "Weather Modification As A Future Weapon: The Military May Have Added The Weather To Its Arsenal"

"Both intentionally and by accident, man has discovered ways to alter the weather ... In 1968, Gordon J.F. MacDonald, a geophysicist who is now a member of the President's Council on Environmental Quality [President Nixon], described possible military applications of weather modification in a chapter of the book, 'Unless Peace Comes'. " Louise Purrett then lists some of the devastating weather that can be produced:

1. Heavy precipitation -- Of course, heavy precipitation causes flooding, just exactly what we have been experiencing lately, in the most fertile and productive agricultural land in the world, i.e., the American Midwest. Our own Government is using this Weather Warfare on us! Why? They want to move us into the New World Order, and change our system of Government. As we have stated so many times in the past, they are planning a severe series of crises to so panic us that we will allow our freedoms to be taken away.

2. Drought -- Today, July, 1998, the South, especially Texas, is experiencing the kind of drought that devastates farmers, and drives them into bankruptcy. How many straight days of record heat does it take to turn fertile farmland into useless wasteland? Remember, no civilization can survive if it loses its ability to feed its people. Since this current group of leaders is New Agers who hate our Industrial Civilization, we should be very concerned about their ability to control weather!

3. Steer Hurricanes toward targeted shores -- We should never, ever have to worry about a hurricane hitting our shores again! But, they continue to do so, don't they? Keep this in mind for our next article,

4. Warm or cool the entire world's temperature -- I think it is now very clear that our scientists are causing Global Warming. Of course, such Global Warming serves the purposes of causing enough panic to allow a Global Government to be established. See NEWS1198 for more details.

5. Punching a hole in the Ozone layer over an enemy nation. Isn't it interesting to note that this phenomenon is precisely what is being alleged by New Age leaders? What is their solution? To totally change our lifestyle. We will speak more to what they really mean by this in Part 3.

6. Alter the Ice Caps, possibly even bringing on a new Ice Age. Therefore we know that these technology can be used to bring on either a warming or a cooling of the entire world, depending upon what the leaders want to do. It seems apparent that they have decided to warm the world.

LET'S TALK ABOUT ELF FREQUENCY!

The key Tesla discovery was that the earth itself reverberated with a pulsing electrical current in the low ELF range; in fact, Tesla discovered the exact frequency at which the earth pulsates normally. By causing many towers to pulsate at the same exact ELF frequency at which the earth normally pulsates, scientists could create storms, manuever them, and dissipate them at will. They could cause earthquakes by combining the power from numerous towers. In fact, this Tesla discovery could duplicate almost every single phenomena of Nature.

The idea behind Weather Control is this simple, when you think about it simply.

Further, when you see and experience a strong thunderstorm, with a lot of lightening and thunder, what fact about this storm strikes you the most? Are you not impressed by the powerful display of energy that you witness? Energy is the primary ingredient behind nature's storms. Therefore, you must believe that, just perhaps, if energy is the most dominant outward factor in all kinds of storms, then energy at just the right ELF frequency might be the key factor in creating such storms in the first place.

So, you ask, how much energy is required to create, and then direct, storms? The answer to that question depends upon many factors, but let us tell you how much capability has been built into the newly created power transmission station in remote Alaska. These power transmission towers are not your typical towers, as they are designed to generate power in such a way that it is beamed up into the ionosphere in tremendous quantities.

"The $30 million [Pentagon] project, euphemistically named HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program), is made to beam more than 1.7 gigawatts (billion watts) of radiated power into the ionosphere -- the electrically charged layer above Earth's atmosphere. Put simply, the apparatus is a reversal of a radio telescope -- just transmitting instead of receiving. It will 'boil the upper atmosphere'. After [heating] and disturbing the ionosphere, the radiations will bounce back onto the earth in for form of long waves which penetrate our bodies, the ground and the oceans." ["Angels Don't Play This HAARP", page 8]

"... the goal is to learn how to manipulate the ionosphere on a more grand scale than the the Soviet Union could do with its similar facilities. HAARP would be the largest ionospheric heater in the world, located in a latitude most conducive to putting Eastlund's invention into practice." [Page 29] Furthermore, from this northern latitude, the energy could be aimed into the ionosphere so that it would bounce back down to the earth so it would come down wherever the scientists wanted it to come down. The secret was to learn how and where to aim it to hit the earth where they wanted it to hit, creating the type of disaster or weather they desired.

In a nutshell, this is the nucleus of the expertise just recently acquired to control the weather. By pouring measured energy that has been focussed into certain parts of the ionosphere, scientists can create all kinds of storms like hurricanes, thunderstorms, floods, tornadoes, and drought. Our information also tells us that, not only can hurricanes be created, they can be dismantled should scientists so desire. And, they certainly can be driven on the ocean much like we drive our cars on roadways.

Let us examine still more aspects of this HAARP technology that is pouring such enormous quantities of energy into our upper atmosphere. Researches quickly found that this technology could be used in ways other than just to control the weather. They discovered they had stumbled upon a weapon which could be used most effectively, to destroy, destroy, and destroy some more, with the vast majority of the peoples of the world completely unaware of what was happening to them. After all, most people today still believe that the control of the basic weather of this planet is out of the control of mankind.

Now, let us examine some of the concerns of some scientists of the damage HAARP can inflict upon the earth. HAARP can:

1. Create Earthquakes on demand wherever and whenever you wish on the earth. [Pages 18, 26 speak of using HAARP to create earthquake. However, our military discovered, by accident, how to create earthquakes using slightly different technology. Listen to the specific earthquake caused on page 47]. "The planetary-scale engineers tried to replace a ten by forty kilometer section of the ionosphere with a 'telecommunications shield' of 350,000 copper needles tossed into orbit ... when the military sent up a band of tiny copper wires into the ionosphere to orbit the planet so as to 'reflect radio waves and make reception clearer', we had the 8.5 Alaska earthquake and Chile lost a good deal of its coast. That band of copper wires interfered with the planetary magnetic field."

2. Manipulate Global Weather Systems, changing weather patterns, rainfall, drought

3. Earth going wild in its rotation, possibly spinning out of control.

4. Redirecting Jet Streams.

5. Redirecting flow of Electrojet Stream.

6. Magnifying and Focussing sunlight, called 'Skybusting'. This process could burn holes in the protective ozone layers, thus allowing intense sunlight to pour through, burning mankind severely.

7. Mind Control. Using extremely low frequency bombardment at just the same frequency as the human brain operates, you can change a person's thoughts or emotions. Sound kookie? Ask, and I'll add the science backing this up.


A CLOSER LOOK AT HAARP AND GWEN

HAARP towers look much like regular antenna towers but they specialize in ELF radio waves. While these types of towers are located in many parts of the world, America has constructed the largest array of towers in the world in Gakona, Alaska. These HAARP towers cover 40 acres, and are connected directly to a gas field, thus giving uninterrupted and cheap power to these fields. HAARP was fully functional in early 1993.

Incidentally, exactly how much ELF power can this HAARP array throw up into our atmosphere? HAARP in Alaska is created to "beam 1.7 gigawatts (billion watts) of radiated power into the ionosphere, the electrically charged layer above Earth's atmosphere."

HAARP provides the ability to put "unprecedented amounts of power in the Earth's atmosphere at strategic locations and to maintain the power injection level, particularly if random pulsing is employed, in a manner far more precise and better controlled ... than the detonation of nuclear devices."

HAARP is the "largest ionospheric heater in the world, located in a latitude most conducive to putting Eastland's invention into practice." {Ibid., page 29] Thus, Alaska provides just the right location on Earth for such an ionospheric heater that can be used to control and manipulate the weather as a weapon.

HAARP also differs from all other ionospheric heaters in the world. Whereas all other ionospheric heaters diffuse the ELF waves into the atmosphere, HAARP uniquely focuses the signal from many, if not all, the 40 acres of towers into one spot in the atmosphere!

HAARP provides the capability to our military of creating weather by redirecting our upper level Jet Streams.

GWEN -- Ground Wave Emergency Network -- These are huge towers that have as many as 100 copper wires fanning out at the base of the tower system underground. The Defense Department built these systems with the cover story that they would be useful for communication during and after a nuclear strike. But, that story will not hold up when you understand that a thermonuclear blast at the right altitude will completely fry all communications equipment, and will render it impossible to communicate by radio at all for several hours.


What GWEN towers really do is to work in conjunction with HAARP transmitters to create storms and alter weather patterns.
